Ottawa River Levels


The following message is a report of water levels
at various locations along the Ottawa River
and is updated daily during the spring and once a week the rest of the year:

This message is issued on January 31, 2012 at 11 a.m.
by the Ottawa River Regulating Committee.

Levels and flows will remain fairly stable this week. All major reservoirs in the Ottawa River basin are continuing to empty in preparation for the spring freshet.


The following are observed levels at 8 a.m. today:

Lake Timiskaming     177.91 metres
     The reservoir is 60% full
Mattawa     152.83 metres
Pembroke     111.67 metres
Lake Coulonge     106.51 metres
Chats Lake at Arnprior     74.08 metres
Lake Deschenes at Britannia     58.42 metres
Hull     42.01metres
Grenville     41.34 metres
Gatineau River at Maniwaki     163.29 metres


The total outflow of the Ottawa River at Carillon is 2050 cubic metres per second.
